Washington, DC resident Andrea Worden still can’t understand why she lives in the District of Columbia. A hardcore skier, she’s fetched up in places like Vail, Portillo and Alta. But work and life and all those other things have always conspired against a permanent move to the mountains.
Still, her 5th grade essay on skiing, written for Catherine O’Neill Grace, her teacher that year as she attended the National Cathedral School was good enough for a √+.
As any snotty nosed kid will tell you, a √+ is pretty good, but to be honest, we would have given it a ++, which makes it the perfect Relic for this month’s edition of Independent Skier Magazine.
